Clips from The O.C. - The Telenovela (S01E01)
"- Yeah. Hi, Theresa. - Hi, Marissa."
The O.C.
"So, what's everyone talking about?"
The O.C.
"Apparently not. He hung up."
The O.C.
"...but for you, wow. - What, last night?"
The O.C.
"The whole dinner-theater/telenovela thing you performed."
The O.C.
"- Telenovela? - Yeah, Spanish-language sudser."
The O.C.
"Telemundo, dude. Univision."
The O.C.
"So you still have the mindset that you're the friend guy, huh?"
The O.C.
"- I'm working on it. - Right. Well, if I may..."
The O.C.
"...the triangle's not a friendly shape, okay? It's pointy. It's got sharp edges."
The O.C.
"- Triangles hurt people. - There's no triangle."
The O.C.
"...and Theresa obviously has feelings for you."
The O.C.
"It's complicated by the fact that there's an Eddie who still obviously..."
The O.C.
"That I don't know. But I would do something soon..."
The O.C.
"Well, that was a touching speech, Cal, but still the answer's no."
The O.C.
"You're opening a Pandora's box, you know that? Shaun's old. He's tired."
The O.C.
"If you build your empire on quicksand, sooner or later it's gonna sink."
The O.C.
"She signs Shaun's paychecks."
The O.C.
"Hey."
The O.C.
"Hi."
The O.C.
"Look, I'm sorry, okay?"
The O.C.
"Well, that makes me feel great."
The O.C.
"You don't have to ignore him, Summer."
The O.C.
"Okay, maybe a little, but only in public."
The O.C.
"...not an invisible boyfriend."
The O.C.
"If everybody knows we're dating..."
The O.C.
"...they'll know when he breaks up with me, which he will."
The O.C.
"Come to the motel. Park across the street and walk."
The O.C.
"...that's when you've got something to lose."
The O.C.
"Why? I'm not going anywhere."
The O.C.
"It would be a whole lot easier if I wasn't."
The O.C.
"- Hey, man. What's up? - Hey."
The O.C.
"- I'm gonna take a break, all right? - Okay."
The O.C.
"...and she runs away..."
The O.C.
"Do you love her?"
The O.C.
"I mean, can you?"
The O.C.
"You got a lot to think about."
The O.C.
"Her eyes are closed."
The O.C.
"I guess I should call Eddie."
The O.C.
"- Thanks. - You're making a scene."
The O.C.
"- I need to talk to you. - I'll IM you later."
The O.C.
"- Summer, I know you're scared. - Yeah, of you."
The O.C.
"Yes, Brad, she's dating this emo geek."
The O.C.
"And if you don't feel the same way about me, then..."
The O.C.
"It's all over but the big, public make-out session."
The O.C.
"I think I should probably go home."
The O.C.
"You gotta do what's right for you. You and Eddie."
The O.C.
"So if it's the right thing to do, why don't I want you to go?"
The O.C.
"I know I shouldn't be here."
The O.C.
"Would you like to come in?"
The O.C.
"It's always been you, Summer. You're undeniable."
The O.C.
"I'm a man now. I had sex with a girl. Summer, to be more specific."
The O.C.
"So you and Marissa, you guys broken up? You guys taking a break? What's the deal?"
The O.C.
"Right. Well, we'll just go back to being friends."
The O.C.
"When were you guys ever friends?"
The O.C.
"Friends, Coop?"
The O.C.
"Sorry. Guys like Ryan aren't friends with girls."
The O.C.
"I don't wanna just be his friend. But after the whole Oliver thing..."
The O.C.
"...I guess I need to show him he can trust me."
The O.C.
"Who knows if he'll even wanna be friends."
The O.C.
"- So how goes it with Seth? - Weird."
The O.C.
"In public, he's like this huge geek who mumbles."
The O.C.
"I don't even know what he's saying half the time. But behind closed doors..."
The O.C.
"...underneath the sheets, he's like the anti-Cohen."
The O.C.
"You think I'll have to see him today?"
The O.C.
"That's probably her now, a little phone sex."
The O.C.
"Nobody."
The O.C.
"- Yeah, Seth's mom gave me this number. - Hey. How are you? Everything okay?"
The O.C.
"- I'm actually coming out there today. - You are? How come?"
The O.C.
"- I mean, for work? - Yeah..."
The O.C.
"- Don't sound so excited. - I am. I'm just a little surprised, that's all."
The O.C.
"Oh, you know me, full of surprises. So I'll come by after dinner."
The O.C.
"Hey, baby. Who's that?"
The O.C.
"Wrong number."
The O.C.
"As a friend."
The O.C.
"Who knew Ryan Atwood was so friendly?"
The O.C.
"- Summer. - Cohen."
The O.C.
"- Summer. Can we talk? - Hey, Brad, what's up?"
The O.C.
"Brad."
The O.C.
"Okay. Come on."
The O.C.
"So we're doing a fundraiser for the team, a kissing booth."
The O.C.
"- Naturally, I thought of you. - Really? You thought of me?"
The O.C.
"- Thanks, Summer. - Sure."
The O.C.
"It's not like he wants to kiss me."
The O.C.
"You can help me practice."
The O.C.
"- Anna. - So you guys are together now?"
The O.C.
"Well, that didn't take long, did it?"
The O.C.
"- Hey, how was Pittsburgh? - It was good to be home."
The O.C.
"- You can't compete with that. - You can't."
The O.C.
"Yeah, it was really great. I got a tuna melt at my favorite diner..."
The O.C.
"...and I saw Some Kind of Wonderful at the midnight movie..."
The O.C.
"...and hung out with all my friends. It was really nice."
The O.C.
"Guess I didn't realize how much I missed them."
The O.C.
"Hey, Dad. You wanted to see me?"
The O.C.
"- Uncle Shaun was arrested last night. - You're kidding. For what?"
The O.C.
"He was drunk, stumbled into another guest's room at the St. Regis."
The O.C.
"He knows people at the DA's office. He can make this go away."
The O.C.
"- He'll never do it. - Why not?"
The O.C.
"You could tell him it would mean a lot to you."
The O.C.
"But if you want Sandy's help after all these years..."
The O.C.
"...then you need to ask him, because that would mean a lot to Sandy."
The O.C.
"- Oh, come on. - Honestly, it was unbelievable."
The O.C.
"- Ain't love grand? - I can really sense the bond."
The O.C.
"It's like, your closeness, it's overwhelming."
The O.C.
"Is it last fall already?"
The O.C.
"Summer just has her priorities in order. You know how she feels about charity."
The O.C.
"- It's good to see you. - It's good to see you too."
The O.C.
"Luke, I'm Marissa's mother. You're a student at this school."
The O.C.
"I'll see you tonight."
The O.C.
"- You remember Luke. - Who could forget?"
The O.C.
"- Luke. - Hey, Mr. Cooper."
The O.C.
"Have a good day."
The O.C.
"- It shouldn't have to be... - Like this?"
The O.C.
"I was just sort of hoping we could be friends, you know?"
The O.C.
"Okay. What are you doing tonight?"
The O.C.
"...because I'm supposed to have dinner with my dad. Your place?"
The O.C.
"- Yeah, see you then. - Cool."
The O.C.
"Well..."
The O.C.
"...the restaurant's coming along, Sandy. At this rate, you'll be open by 2008."
The O.C.
"And there goes my appetite. Caleb, hello."
