Clips from The O.C. - The Way We Were (S02E02)
"What? Whoa. No, who told you that?"
The O.C.
"You moved on. I moved on. Marissa moved on."
The O.C.
"What?"
The O.C.
"You can't keep calling me, DJ."
The O.C.
"You shouldn't even be here right now. We're in the middle of dinner."
The O.C.
"Who is he?"
The O.C.
"You don't think I hear the way you talk about me around your friends?"
The O.C.
"Hey. Don't cry."
The O.C.
"I guess you should have called first."
The O.C.
"I'm sorry. I'm just distracted. Listen, man, I cannot believe you talked to Summer for me."
The O.C.
"- She said she wants to try again. - Yeah, as friends."
The O.C.
"Ryan, come on. Why would she go through all the trouble of telling you"
The O.C.
"that Zach is specifically not her boyfriend if she just wanted us to be friends?"
The O.C.
"- No. No grand gestures. No. - Yes, yes, I'm afraid it is time once again for me"
The O.C.
"Maybe I'll do it at the carnival. You know what I'm saying? Maybe it'll be a hot dog stand."
The O.C.
"So are you here to see Sandy so he can bail you out again?"
The O.C.
"I did what I did for this family."
The O.C.
"I should go."
The O.C.
"Although if Kirsten's mad enough at you... she might."
The O.C.
"I don't want to be any trouble."
The O.C.
"What is this?"
The O.C.
"What I was doing when I should have been doing what you asked me to do?"
The O.C.
"I left a message on Hailey's cell, inviting you guys, but I never heard back."
The O.C.
"Oh, Jimmy."
The O.C.
"Hailey's made her move."
The O.C.
"What's yours?"
The O.C.
"To them it's all funnel cakes and fried Snickers just a chance to mingle it up"
The O.C.
"with the carney folk and win a really awesome stuffed sock monkey."
The O.C.
"But for us?"
The O.C.
"But for us, kickoff carnival usually determines the course of our romantic lives for the entire year."
The O.C.
"- No pressure. - No, we did good last year. We did okay."
The O.C.
"His name is DJ. He works for my parents, so we had to keep it a secret from everyone."
The O.C.
"Look, I'm sorry. For right now, we should..."
The O.C.
"Friends?"
The O.C.
"Ryan, we're not friends. We were never just friends."
The O.C.
"- Uh, bottled water. - What?"
The O.C.
"What?"
The O.C.
"Well, it looks like you're humping the hot dog stand."
The O.C.
"- You know, hot dog stands, coffee carts. - Oh, no."
The O.C.
"- I love you! - What?"
The O.C.
"Hi, Zach. How's it going?"
The O.C.
"Zach, don't listen to him. He's crazy. He reads comic books."
The O.C.
"It's just that Summer and I sort of have a history."
The O.C.
"Oh, my God. Cohen?!"
The O.C.
"What the hell do you think you're doing! This isn't a game, Cohen! You could've gotten hurt!"
The O.C.
"Good thing I didn't."
The O.C.
"You had me at Chrismukkah in a frigging Wonder Woman costume, and you chose Anna."
The O.C.
"- You want some? - Grandpa, you eating on the floor?"
The O.C.
"- Who? - New guy."
The O.C.
"Ryan he's taking AP physics; he's taking AP math; and this moo shoo looks delicious."
The O.C.
"Gentlemen..."
The O.C.
"- What took you so long? - You have the right to remain silent."
The O.C.
"Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."
The O.C.
"You have absolutely nothing to apologize for."
The O.C.
"- Do you understand these rights? - Yeah."
The O.C.
"Put your hands behind your head."
The O.C.
"He's totally checking you out."
The O.C.
"The first time since Julie left me, I don't feel completely alone."
The O.C.
"and he hasn't done a damn thing since."
The O.C.
"Acknowledge me now, or lose me forever."
The O.C.
"So you and Summer?"
The O.C.
"- Do you guys still talk? - No, not really."
The O.C.
"We used to. But it just sort of made everything harder."
The O.C.
"- Your mom called the school, man. - Uh, did my mom call the..."
The O.C.
"You're supposed to be leading me into temptation, not homeroom."
The O.C.
"- At this point, how would I even know? - What, you haven't called her yet?"
The O.C.
"I just got back into town. I have three months of back issues to bag and board"
The O.C.
"So Summer has no idea you're back."
The O.C.
"That was months ago. She's probably moved on by now."
The O.C.
"I'm sorry. "Moved on"?"
The O.C.
"Gotten over it?"
The O.C.
"Gotten over it? Why?"
The O.C.
"Because I just... I meant nothing to her?"
The O.C.
"I'm going to brood silently. Over here."
The O.C.
"Fine, then maybe you're right. She will ignore me, which would be worse."
The O.C.
"So, Summer's been ignoring you for years. You can take it."
The O.C.
"Why should I have to go back to that? Why?"
The O.C.
"Because you left for three months without telling her?"
The O.C.
"- So you're saying it's my fault? - You are kind of the one who left."
The O.C.
"- Seth, just talk to her. - And say what, exactly?"
The O.C.
"I don't know. "I'm sorry," maybe?"
The O.C.
"No, but I'm going to."
The O.C.
"So it turns out, what do you know? I'm not the only coward in the room."
The O.C.
"No, I'm just going to see her at school. I know that."
The O.C.
"Okay, man, listen. Whatever happens today at school,"
The O.C.
"I'm moving to Portland."
The O.C.
"- Good morning, men. - Hey."
The O.C.
"- There's bagels. - There's coffee."
The O.C.
"- Love some, thanks. - And then there's Archie."
The O.C.
"Your father was complaining that he didn't have a place for his surfing memorabilia."
The O.C.
"- Honey, I'm mid-shmear. - I am late for work."
The O.C.
"Hello?"
The O.C.
"Hello?"
The O.C.
"- Well, they hung up. - I hate it when they do that."
The O.C.
"I called the school so you're registered. You just have to go by the office and fill out some paperwork."
The O.C.
"Your father's going to go with you in case there's any problems."
The O.C.
"I thought you were going to take him?"
The O.C.
"If it's too much trouble, maybe we should stay home."
The O.C.
"I have to go."
The O.C.
"- Good, maybe you should raise our allowances then. - He's where?"
The O.C.
"You don't know?"
The O.C.
"It's the office."
The O.C.
"All right. I'll find him. Thank you."
The O.C.
"- Oh, my God. - Oh, my God! Ryan!"
The O.C.
"After school. It's a date."
The O.C.
"Summer."
The O.C.
"- Are you just not even going to talk to me? - Nope. Sorry, Cohen."
The O.C.
"- Just wait a second. - I am done waiting for you, Cohen."
The O.C.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go meet my boyfriend."
The O.C.
"Boyfriend?"
The O.C.
"I can't believe this is happening."
The O.C.
"Wow."
The O.C.
"So when do we have to be there?"
The O.C.
"I can't. It's too soon."
The O.C.
"'Cause I don't want to hurt him."
The O.C.
"Jimmy's up. I've got to go. I will. I promise. Bye."
The O.C.
"- Are you trying to get me drunk? - I am trying to keep you drunk."
The O.C.
"Last night was... pretty awesome."
The O.C.
"the beach, the yacht, you."
The O.C.
"You're the one."
The O.C.
