Clips from The O.C. - The Family Ties (S02E02)
"I'm sorry we couldn't get a better turnout for you."
The O.C.
"Well, considering I defrauded most of my closest friends... it's not bad."
The O.C.
"I wouldn't have known you were leaving"
The O.C.
"Can we, can we talk about this someplace a little bit more private, please?"
The O.C.
"Look who stopped by."
The O.C.
"Good to see you."
The O.C.
"You really think that I would leave you again?"
The O.C.
"You've got to go so soon?"
The O.C.
"It's fine. We're just saying our good-byes."
The O.C.
"Well, I'd like to hurt him for last night."
The O.C.
"Kind of a boring party."
The O.C.
"Not for long."
The O.C.
"- Hey, guys, guys, not here. - No, let's do it here. Okay?"
The O.C.
"Why don't you tell everyone why you're leaving."
The O.C.
"Huh? Hello, everybody."
The O.C.
"Guys, hey, guys. Come on. Come on."
The O.C.
"Do you see what you're leaving me with? You see how screwed up she is?"
The O.C.
"You wanted a good old-fashioned O.C. party."
The O.C.
"I just hope she's okay, and that she calls."
The O.C.
"As bad as I thought she'd take it, that was worse."
The O.C.
"Well, it's going to be hard for her. For all of us."
The O.C.
"I was hoping that while I'm gone, you'd go over to the house and check up on her."
The O.C.
"- My father lives in that house, Jimmy. - I know."
The O.C.
"Excuse me, Mr. Nichol. Uh, there's a problem with your car."
The O.C.
"Yep. I do that sometimes, Alex. I do it for kicks."
The O.C.
"Are you trying to impress me or something?"
The O.C.
"What?"
The O.C.
"Well, that's good, because I don't think this whole bad boy thing is really working out for me."
The O.C.
"I tried to wake her up, but is she, like, alive?"
The O.C.
"Maybe I should hire you a tutor and she can catch you up on everything."
The O.C.
"Only one way to find out."
The O.C.
"We finally have a moment alone."
The O.C.
"Yeah. And if it truly is weird, well, then that's our answer."
The O.C.
"Okay."
The O.C.
"Oh, hey, guys. I was wondering if you've seen Seth."
The O.C.
"Okay, thanks."
The O.C.
"Yeah, maybe we should just... keep this to ourselves for now."
The O.C.
"- Hey. - What are you doing here?"
The O.C.
"You mind if I join you?"
The O.C.
"Walked away to another plan Gonna find another place, maybe one I can stand"
The O.C.
"Thank God. These ones are stale."
The O.C.
"-"
The O.C.
"Is it just me, or is Zach perfect?"
The O.C.
"He is like Newport's Prince William."
The O.C.
"I have missed you all day. Does this count as adultery?"
The O.C.
"You're not, like, becoming friends, are you?"
The O.C.
"Would that be so terrible?"
The O.C.
"Really? You don't go to school?"
The O.C.
"16 years ago I made an error in judgment, one that almost ruined my marriage."
The O.C.
"You're my father?"
The O.C.
"All right, fine, logarithms are the new uppercut, I got it."
The O.C.
"- Wow. Now I see it. - See what?"
The O.C.
"Are you trying to make this more awkward for me?"
The O.C.
"What? It's not like you dating Lindsay's full-on incest"
The O.C.
"you're not even really related. You're not..."
The O.C.
"you wouldn't get arrested, you wouldn't have chromosomally challenged children."
The O.C.
"Kirsten's, like, my mom. Lindsay is... clearly her sister."
The O.C.
"It is kind of weird."
The O.C.
"The fact that your mom doesn't know that I'm dating her sister, it's a lot weird."
The O.C.
"I think they did a storyline like this on The Valley once."
The O.C.
"is she your girlfriend, or is she your aunt?"
The O.C.
"Boy meets girl, boy likes girl,"
The O.C.
"boy finds out girl is surrogate mother's illegitimate half-sister."
The O.C.
"I just don't know what to do, you know? What to say."
The O.C.
"Nah, wanted to give her space over winter break, let her figure everything out."
The O.C.
"That's all you can do."
The O.C.
"Then we're done dating, huh?"
The O.C.
"Good, 'cause I think it's best that the Mrs. doesn't find out."
The O.C.
"Well, that's something that every wife wants to hear."
The O.C.
"- Doesn't find out what? - How much I love you?"
The O.C.
"- Sandy? - Yes?"
The O.C.
"Just, it's, like, a laser beam."
The O.C.
"Not after what he did to Lindsay, that poor girl."
The O.C.
"I've been thinking. We should do something for her."
The O.C.
"This girl grew up not knowing who she is or where she's from, and we're her family."
The O.C.
"- If she wants us. - Oh, she wants us."
The O.C.
"Well, you, too, Ryan... you're as much a part of this family as any of us."
The O.C.
"Well, thanks for clearing that one up, honey."
The O.C.
"Actually, she's so young, she's more like your sister."
The O.C.
"Oh. Hey, a sister. I always wanted one of those."
The O.C.
"Ryan, how about you?"
The O.C.
"Don't worry about it, 'cause it's no biggie."
The O.C.
"It's just, he's the only sane person in my family,"
The O.C.
"the only one who comes even close to getting me."
The O.C.
"- Did you get my Christmas card? - I did. I appreciate the apology."
The O.C.
"So we can talk about stuff, confidential stuff, and it's cool?"
The O.C.
"and, uh, we were at Squid Row, late, and, uh, we kind of kissed."
The O.C.
"She's in the middle of a divorce,"
The O.C.
"she had had a lot of tequila, Chingy was playing..."
The O.C.
"Oh. Chingy and tequila. Seduction has no two finer allies."
The O.C.
"Well, man, if it was anybody else, I would say keep it to yourself,"
The O.C.
"so you got to be honest with Summer, then."
The O.C.
"Tell her you feel terrible,"
The O.C.
"And definitely do not mention the ex having kids and multiple divorces."
The O.C.
"And you're not gonna tell anyone, are you?"
The O.C.
"- I wanted to call you. - No, I'm glad you didn't."
The O.C.
"Not even your mom?"
The O.C.
"Uh, not until I've completed several hundred hours of intense psychotherapy."
The O.C.
"- and... we can't hang out at your house.. - Because your sister's there?"
The O.C.
"She's not my, um... I mean, I guess technically she is, but..."
The O.C.
"Just so I can be clear on what everybody is to everybody:"
The O.C.
"- More than friends. - And definitely not related."
The O.C.
"The thought never crossed my mind."
The O.C.
"and the secrets of our situation sealed by the courts."
The O.C.
"You did it. I'm a free man."
The O.C.
"Excuse me for wringing a little joy out of the one bitof good news I've had for some time."
The O.C.
"Now, which daughter are we talking about?"
The O.C.
"Whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait. Back to work?"
The O.C.
"Yeah, I'll... I'll see you back at the office. Bye, Kirsten."
The O.C.
"- He's free? - He's free."
The O.C.
"But what if it wasn't my life?"
The O.C.
"What if I could just walk away from it?"
The O.C.
"Well, that would depend on what you're walking to."
The O.C.
"Maybe we just needed this time apart to appreciate each other, what we had."
The O.C.
"Hi. I hope you don't mind me showing up like this."
The O.C.
"I was wondering if I could give you a ride home."
The O.C.
"Happy Surprise Sister bouquet?"
The O.C.
"Yeah, a friendly cup of coffee would be cool."
The O.C.
"You have nothing to be nervous about. It's gonna be great."
The O.C.
