Clips from Castle - Flowers for Your Grave (S01E01)
"He's still not speaking. State medical records indicate"
Castle
"he's got Pervasive Developmental Disorder."
Castle
"Well, that explains his fixation with me."
Castle
"Yeah, well, your super-fan also has a history of delusions."
Castle
"- Guess who his caseworker was. - Alison Tisdale."
Castle
"Yeah. Her files indicate that he was on pretty heavy antipsychotics."
Castle
"Limited intelligence, thinks he has a personal relationship with his hero."
Castle
"Looks like your profile was right, Detective Beckett."
Castle
"So, what? That's it?"
Castle
"What more do you want? Evidence is in his apartment."
Castle
"We can connect him with the three victims."
Castle
"Two from the diner where he worked, and Tisdale was his social worker."
Castle
"- Call the DA. Get him a legal aid. - Okay."
Castle
"You know, the reader would never buy it."
Castle
"This isn't one of your books, Castle."
Castle
"Out here, we find a guy standing over a body with a gun,"
Castle
"he's usually the guy who did it."
Castle
"You know this kid was in and out of the system for years?"
Castle
"Doesn't seem like he ever got the proper treatment"
Castle
"until Alison Tisdale took over his case file."
Castle
"She's the one who got him a job at the diner,"
Castle
"and her notes seem to say he was doing okay."
Castle
"Well, you can let the DA worry about all that now. Our job is done."
Castle
"Yeah. Hey, can you leave the box? I'll take care of it tomorrow."
Castle
"Castle, I'm kind of glad that you killed off Storm. Less competition."
Castle
"Hmm."
Castle
"- That's 20 to you, Cannell. - You're bluffing, Patterson."
Castle
"Cough up some of that TV money and you'll find out."
Castle
"Ah, bet's to you, Ricky."
Castle
"- Castle. Castle. - Hmm?"
Castle
"- Bet's to you. - Oh, sorry."
Castle
"I know that look. Story trouble."
Castle
"You know, you never should have killed off Storm."
Castle
"That was a big mistake."
Castle
"I would've retired him. Or crippled him."
Castle
"I mean, the man was money."
Castle
"You don't see me putting a bullet through Alex Cross' head."
Castle
"And my boy Shane Scully's gonna be fueling my private jet"
Castle
"long after people have all forgotten about Storm."
Castle
"Oh, you know what? Just for that, I am gonna call."
Castle
"So what's the problem, Ricky? Maybe we can help."
Castle
"I'm working on this thing. It starts with a famous author."
Castle
"Some psycho starts staging murders like the way he does in his books."
Castle
"That's pretty self-aggrandizing, isn't it?"
Castle
"So, the crime scenes are clean."
Castle
"Doesn't leave any fingerprints, doesn't leave any DNA."
Castle
"But the psycho writes the author a fan letter with his prints all over it."
Castle
"Well, that leads the cops to his apartment,"
Castle
"- And then? - That's it."
Castle
"- That's it? - Yeah. They arrest him."
Castle
"That's terrible. No wonder you're blocked."
Castle
"And here's another thing."
Castle
"The guy doesn't leave his prints at the scene of the crime,"
Castle
"but he sends a letter with his prints on it?"
Castle
"Well, you lost me there. And what about a twist?"
Castle
"- Where's the twist? - Yeah."
Castle
"Yeah, right? Like, maybe somebody set this kid up."
Castle
"That's what your story needs, the character who thinks the kid's innocent,"
Castle
"keeps digging until he finds the truth."
Castle
"Oh, I have just the guy."
Castle
"- What are you doing? - It's a novelist's habit,"
Castle
"looking through other people's mail, checking their medicine cabinets."
Castle
"I just came by to give you this."
Castle
"It's a little something to memorialize our brief partnership."
Castle
"Don't look so suspicious. Go on, open it."
Castle
"Not that you're a fan."
Castle
"- Well... - Well."
Castle
"It was nice to have met you, Detective Beckett."
Castle
"He didn't."
Castle
"Oh, he did!"
Castle
"Richard Castle, you are under arrest for felony theft and obstruction of justice."
Castle
"You forgot making you look bad."
Castle
"You know, for a minute there, you actually made me believe"
Castle
"that you were human. Cuff him."
Castle
"Bondage. My safe word is "apples.""
Castle
"Oh, there's no need to be gentle."
Castle
"- How'd you find me, anyway? - I'm a detective. That's what I do."
Castle
"My mother told you, didn't she?"
Castle
"By the way, the rose petals in the Tisdale murder?"
Castle
"- They're grandiflora, not hybrid teas. - I'll make a note of it."
Castle
"Yeah, you probably should, since it means Kyle Cabot is innocent."
Castle
"- Hello, Father. - Hello, daughter."
Castle
"It's my fault, really. He never had a father figure."
Castle
"Oh, that's not true, Mother. I had lots of father figures."
Castle
"I see you've met Captain Montgomery and Detective Beckett."
Castle
"And they have agreed to drop the charges if you agree to behave."
Castle
"No more interference with this case, Mr. Castle."
Castle
"Do we understand each other?"
Castle
"Yeah. But you still got the wrong guy."
Castle
"I mean, really. Darling, must you always have to make a comment?"
Castle
"No. No, no, no. Don't tell me he got to you."
Castle
"Please. He didn't get to me. She did."
Castle
"Who, Alison?"
Castle
"Marvin Fisk, first murder. Kyle knew him from the diner."
Castle
"And then he kills Kendra Pitney, also from the diner."
Castle
"- So? - So he starts with a murder"
Castle
"and then escalates to a murder of somebody he knows very well,"
Castle
"and then goes back to a murder of convenience?"
Castle
"It doesn't make any sense."
Castle
"Somebody set up Kyle to take the fall."
Castle
"Somebody who knew enough about his fixation with me"
Castle
"to use it to get away with murder."
Castle
"That means we're not looking for a serial killer."
Castle
"We're looking for a good old-fashioned murderer. Someone with motive."
Castle
"You think the victims were somehow related?"
Castle
"Police would have found it by now. Now, if I were writing the story,"
Castle
"the killer would have only wanted one of the victims dead."
Castle
"He would have killed the other ones just to cover up the crime."
Castle
"How do you get away with one murder by committing two more?"
Castle
"At one death, you look for motive. At two, you look for a connection."
Castle
"At three, you look for someone like Kyle."
Castle
"At three, you don't need motive,"
Castle
"because mentally unstable serial killers don't usually have one."
Castle
"That makes about as much sense as Mousetrap."
Castle
"I did that play eight times a week for a year. I still have no idea what it's about."
Castle
"Castle was right."
Castle
"If he was trying to follow his books,"
Castle
"then the roses on Alison's body were wrong."
Castle
"And Fisk should have been suffocated by a plastic bag,"
Castle
"not strangled with a necktie."
