Clips from The O.C. - The Day After Tomorrow (S03E03)
"So me and some of the guys are going to Baja for the weekend."
The O.C.
"You know, surf."
The O.C.
"Smoke some Mexican green."
The O.C.
"Wanna come?"
The O.C.
"- Oh, well, yeah. Probably. - Probably."
The O.C.
"Hey, man."
The O.C.
"Summer was looking for you. I invited her for tonight."
The O.C.
"It's just, if she sees me, she'll dress me like a Timberland Barbie."
The O.C.
"- Hi. - Hey!"
The O.C.
"Perfect timing. I just finished working."
The O.C.
"So, congratulations."
The O.C.
"Psychic, remember?"
The O.C.
"- And when you didn't call last night... - Yeah."
The O.C.
"- I'm happy for you. - Thank you."
The O.C.
"We could have the summer."
The O.C.
"Not so into relationships with an egg timer on them."
The O.C.
"Okay, Ryan. Pet peeve:"
The O.C.
"Having a guy tell me how amazing I am while dumping me. Rings kind of false."
The O.C.
"I'm in Newport because of you."
The O.C.
"You see where I'm going with this?"
The O.C.
"You would move to Berkeley?"
The O.C.
"Yeah, I would. If you want me to."
The O.C.
"Yeah, I do."
The O.C.
"- Well, hello, Summer! - Hi, Summer."
The O.C.
"- My dad just dropped me off. - Hey, is dinner ready?"
The O.C.
"Oh, my God."
The O.C.
"Hey, we're not late, are we?"
The O.C.
"Now, everybody, outside. Dinner is served."
The O.C.
"All right."
The O.C.
"So Ryan told me that you guys actually went to Berkeley."
The O.C.
"- Yes. - Don't have him tell the Halloween story."
The O.C.
"Let's just say we met under unusual circumstances."
The O.C.
"Sadie's gonna be coming up to Berkeley with me."
The O.C.
"When you go look at the school?"
The O.C.
"I don't understand. Did you apply to Berkeley?"
The O.C.
"...and Ryan's gonna be up there."
The O.C.
"So we figured, why not?"
The O.C.
"- This afternoon. - It was my suggestion."
The O.C.
"No, actually. I think I asked you."
The O.C.
"...and then deciding to be with them. That's what life's about, right?"
The O.C.
"- I'm gonna go home. - Oh, no, no."
The O.C.
"- No, I'm fine. - I can't believe..."
The O.C.
"- That is so romantic. - I don't know what Ryan's thinking."
The O.C.
"Well, who really knows that at 18?"
The O.C.
"I do."
The O.C.
"- That's not what I mean. - You know what? I have to go."
The O.C.
"If you're here about the sweatshirt party, I'm not going."
The O.C.
"Actually, I was hoping that we could just talk."
The O.C.
"- but I just can't bear to see you doing this to yourself."
The O.C.
"Mom, this isn't about you."
The O.C.
"That... That just means you're scared, honey, and that's fine."
The O.C.
"Look, Marissa, I've been in that place before..."
The O.C.
"...where you lose faith in yourself."
The O.C.
"I don't know, Mom."
The O.C.
"Marissa, please don't give up on yourself."
The O.C.
"You've no idea how much I want this for you."
The O.C.
"Hey."
The O.C.
"- Thanks, man. - Sure."
The O.C.
"Summer and I got into a soul-crushing fight about Brown."
The O.C.
"- I'm sorry. Have you talked to her? - No."
The O.C.
"But even if I did, man, and she forgave me, it's, like, then what? You know?"
The O.C.
"Ryan, now who's smoking pot? Listen to me."
The O.C.
"Well, she said if I didn't get in and she did, she wouldn't go to Brown."
The O.C.
"- It's the opportunity of a lifetime. - Well, I think that's up to her."
The O.C.
"Sorry, man, I think you gotta tell her the truth."
The O.C.
"No, it's fine. I just got here myself."
The O.C.
"Everyone wears their college sweatshirt."
The O.C.
"- lf you wanna go. - Sure. Yeah. That will be fun."
The O.C.
"And I'm sorry about last night."
The O.C.
"That was not the way it should've happened."
The O.C.
"I just feel like a lot of people go to college to find themselves."
The O.C.
"...than anyone."
The O.C.
"Oh, let me give you my credit card."
The O.C.
"I know, I just don't get it."
The O.C.
"- I mean, who does that? - Summer..."
The O.C.
"...getting a man is like capturing..."
The O.C.
"...a wily, silverback gorilla in the Ugandan highlands."
The O.C.
"But both you and I know that gorilla would be much happier..."
The O.C.
"...back in the zoo, on a normal feeding schedule."
The O.C.
"But sometimes he's just gotta roar and beat his chest..."
The O.C.
"...before he'll let you shoot him with a tranq."
The O.C.
"So, what you're saying is, he's trying to exert his gorilla independence?"
The O.C.
"Yes. That is exactly what I'm saying, Summer."
The O.C.
"Now come help me set up the bonfire. Seung Ho..."
The O.C.
"I found this in the closet."
The O.C.
"- It's a little worn, but... - Wow. Wow, that's great, thanks."
The O.C.
"Sorry about last night."
The O.C.
"She is. She is."
The O.C.
"...I was about to tell you I'd spoken to Paul Glass at Berkeley."
The O.C.
"He told me that he could get you into my old dorm."
The O.C.
"Of course, living with Sadie, you're gonna have to find off-campus housing."
The O.C.
"She's not gonna be part of the meal plan."
The O.C.
"So between food and rent you're both gonna have to have jobs."
The O.C.
"- But now with Sadie in the mix... - I would never ask that."
The O.C.
"I guess we just haven't had time to really figure everything out."
The O.C.
"It all happened so fast."
The O.C.
"I was driving across the country that first summer."
The O.C.
"I spent the night in this little town 1000 miles from home."
The O.C.
"And I was terrified."
The O.C.
"Okay."
The O.C.
"- Hey. - Where are you? I'm ready to go."
The O.C.
"I can't go to Baja tonight."
The O.C.
"- All right. - But call me when you get back."
The O.C.
"Yeah, sure, whatever."
The O.C.
"Sadie?"
The O.C.
"Glad you're here. I've something huge to tell you."
The O.C.
"I called the guy who sells my jewelry in the Bay area."
The O.C.
"Or we could live there. Together."
The O.C.
"Okay, what was your news?"
The O.C.
"That's awesome."
The O.C.
"Okay, we gotta leave for your party, right?"
The O.C.
"Gonna be weird that I'm not wearing a sweatshirt?"
The O.C.
"No, no, you'll be fine."
The O.C.
"That girl can handle a chainsaw."
The O.C.
"Everything okay with you guys?"
The O.C.
"Don't worry about it."
The O.C.
"Look, Summer, I'm sorry about the way I've been acting."
The O.C.
"Just give me a chance."
The O.C.
"Remember the boys made us watch that movie about gay guys on the mountain?"
The O.C.
"- Lord of the Rings. - Yeah."
The O.C.
