"so it just seemed like a non-issue."

"Yeah, but let's just say she had moved."

"I would've been completely blindsided."

"But she didn't move, and so, if I had told you,"

"then you would've been upset for no reason."

"Is that what you would've wanted?"

"So I went to see a Dr. Baines in Clear River."

"She did some tests."

"-Did you have a CT scan? -Yeah, in Grace Valley."

"What were the results?"
Virgin River
"I have pancreatic cancer."

"Stage 4."
Virgin River
"[gasps quietly] Oh, Lilly."

"I know."

"When she told me,"

"I, um…"

"felt like the Earth stopped spinning."

"-Have you had a second opinion? -Yeah. Yeah, I have. It's the same."

"No, I haven't told her. I'm not ready to tell anybody."

"Knowing that I'm leaving my kids without a mother is, um…"
