Clips from Star Trek: Discovery - The Sound of Thunder (S02E02)

"You would risk the lives of your own people"
Star Trek: Discovery
"for one Kelpien?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"This Kelpien"
Star Trek: Discovery
"isour people."
Star Trek: Discovery
"And to defend him, I will do whatever I deem necessary."
Star Trek: Discovery
"As will we."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The Ba'ul are activating the pylon"
Star Trek: Discovery
"in Commander Saru's village."
Star Trek: Discovery
"You have interfered"
Star Trek: Discovery
"in the affairs of this village."
Star Trek: Discovery
"If you do not return the Kelpien,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"there'll be blood on your hands."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The pylons are weaponized."
Star Trek: Discovery
"They mean to destroy my village."
Star Trek: Discovery
"We have to...Mr. Saru!"
Star Trek: Discovery
"You will remove yourself from the bridge."
Star Trek: Discovery
"But, Captain...That's an order."
Star Trek: Discovery
"COMPUTER: Red alert."
Star Trek: Discovery
"All crew to their assigned stations."
Star Trek: Discovery
"You are relieved from duty."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Sir? Get out."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Saru, I know what you're doing."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Move off the transporter pad now."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Or what, Michael?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"I don't want to use this."
Star Trek: Discovery
"But you're not thinking clearly, Saru."
Star Trek: Discovery
"I have never felt more clarity than in this moment."
Star Trek: Discovery
"This is the only way."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Would you not do the same for your own brother?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Sir, someone is beaming down to planet surface."
Star Trek: Discovery
"What? Who is it?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"BURNHAM: Burnham to the bridge. It's Commander Saru."
Star Trek: Discovery
"He's surrendering himself."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Damn it."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Captain, the sentry ships are powering down their weapons."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Ops, track Saru's signal."
Star Trek: Discovery
"A Ba'ul ship has taken him."
Star Trek: Discovery
"They're traveling toward... I've lost the signal, sir."
Star Trek: Discovery
"He's gone."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Well, with 100,000 years' worth of data,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"there has to be some information about Kaminar"
Star Trek: Discovery
"in the Sphere's archive.Well, what precisely are we looking for?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"When the Ba'ul learned that Saru"
Star Trek: Discovery
"had survived his Vahar'ai,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"their determination to capture him increased."
Star Trek: Discovery
"It was as if his continued existence threatened them."
Star Trek: Discovery
"You think the Ba'ul are hiding something?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"I think they know more about the changes"
Star Trek: Discovery
"brought on by Vahar'ai than the Kelpiens do."
Star Trek: Discovery
"And I think they're willing to do"
Star Trek: Discovery
"almost anything to keep that secret."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Will they kill Saru?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Not if we can find out what they're hiding in time."
Star Trek: Discovery
"And there has to be something in the Sphere's archive."
Star Trek: Discovery
"There has to be."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Well, that's what Airiam and I are here for."
Star Trek: Discovery
"We will find it."
Star Trek: Discovery
"There it is."
Star Trek: Discovery
"When I said "we," I just meant Airiam."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The Sphere did collect readings from Kaminar."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Thousands of years' worth of statistical measurements."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Transfer it over to this station, please."
Star Trek: Discovery
"And when Saru challenged the Ba'ul, they said,"
Star Trek: Discovery
""You do not even know what you are.""
Star Trek: Discovery
"So, what is Saru?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Siranna?!"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Brother?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Oh, why did the Watchful Eye take me?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"It is not yet my time."
Star Trek: Discovery
"My sister has nothing to do with this!"
Star Trek: Discovery
"I am the one you wanted."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Why did you have to return?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Everyone else thought you were dead."
Star Trek: Discovery
"But the night you disappeared,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"I saw the light rising into the sky."
Star Trek: Discovery
"I became a priest to seek that light."
Star Trek: Discovery
"To seek you."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Your face is beautiful to me,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"but part of me hoped I would never see it again."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Because it might mean you were free."
Star Trek: Discovery
"No! No."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Stop!"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Fascinating."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Airiam, can you identify"
Star Trek: Discovery
"historical biological records from Kaminar's surface?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Searching..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Yes, bio-signs were archived by the Sphere."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Um, actually, I can use those current readings of the Ba'ul"
Star Trek: Discovery
"to distinguish their bio-signs from the Kelpiens'."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Right, and we can cross-reference"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Saru's medical records"
Star Trek: Discovery
"to isolate the post-Vahar'aiKelpiens'"
Star Trek: Discovery
"historic bio-signs from the rest of their species."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The Ba'ul could only know about"
Star Trek: Discovery
"the evolutionary consequences of Vahar'ai"
Star Trek: Discovery
"if, at one time, they experienced them."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Otherwise, why does it threaten them?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Well, if we, uh, go back 2,300 years, uh,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"there's a significant portion of the Kelpiens were like Saru."
Star Trek: Discovery
"They survived Vahar'ai?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"The blue represents evolved Kelpiens,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"green unevolved, red Ba'ul."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Sorry, that..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"that doesn't look right."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The Ba'ul narrowly escaped extinction."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Then they turned around"
Star Trek: Discovery
"and wiped out the evolved Kelpiens."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Leaving only unevolved Kelpiens, but..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Wait, so all this would mean that..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The Ba'ul were originally the prey species."
Star Trek: Discovery
"So they would think of Saru as a..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Predator."
Star Trek: Discovery
"BA'UL: The first Kelpien"
Star Trek: Discovery
"to pass its Vahar'ai"
Star Trek: Discovery
"in over 2,000 years,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"and your primal, feral responses"
Star Trek: Discovery
"are the same as centuries ago."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Your kind can never govern itself."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The Federation has no idea"
Star Trek: Discovery
"what they have welcomed into their ranks."
