Clips from Star Trek: Discovery - The Sound of Thunder (S02E02)

"of generations of Kelpiens."
Star Trek: Discovery
"PIKE: Given all that suffering,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"you're the most complicated choice."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Do you doubt my ability to carry out the mission?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"PIKE: Of course not."
Star Trek: Discovery
"But at present, we lack a full understanding"
Star Trek: Discovery
"of the biological..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"and behavioral changes you're undergoing."
Star Trek: Discovery
"I can assure you, Captain, I am still very much myself."
Star Trek: Discovery
"I can only imagine the pressure you might feel to share"
Star Trek: Discovery
"the truth with your people about Vahar'ai."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Are you suggesting that I might be incapable"
Star Trek: Discovery
"of following Starfleet regulations?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Or that I would disobey your orders?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Captain."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Kelpiens have no knowledge of Starfleet"
Star Trek: Discovery
"or any other inhabited worlds."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Even though General Order 1 allows contact,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"my arrival could come as a complete shock to them."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Commander Saru would be invaluable to have by my side."
Star Trek: Discovery
"All right."
Star Trek: Discovery
"But I'll remind you both, we're here to gather information"
Star Trek: Discovery
"about the signals and the Red Angel,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"not start a war between the Kelpiens and the Ba'ul."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Mr. Saru?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"My duty, first and foremost, is to Discovery'smission, sir."
Star Trek: Discovery
"I never doubt that."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Start in your own village."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Maybe they'll be glad to see you."
Star Trek: Discovery
"CULBER: So, uh,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"what did the scan say?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Read 'em yourself."
Star Trek: Discovery
"All normal."
Star Trek: Discovery
"You're you."
Star Trek: Discovery
"POLLARD: Yes and no."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Brain patterns and neural impulses are identical,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"but this body"
Star Trek: Discovery
"was entirely reconstituted from your DNA."
Star Trek: Discovery
"It's brand-new down to the last molecule. You are,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"for lack of a better word, pristine."
Star Trek: Discovery
"My scar, it's gone."
Star Trek: Discovery
"STAMETS: It is?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"I hadn't noticed that.What scar?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Oh, the scar he chose to keep."
Star Trek: Discovery
"You never told her the story?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"He was hiking the cliffs of Cabo Rojo, alone."
Star Trek: Discovery
"I was 16..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"STAMETS: And apparently indestructible."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The path he was on gave way,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"and he fell 30 meters."
Star Trek: Discovery
"15, actually."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Well, enough to puncture your shoulder."
Star Trek: Discovery
"He would've bled out, too,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"if it weren't for a certain Dr. Kashkooli,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"who was half a kilometer behind him."
Star Trek: Discovery
"She risked her own life to climb down and help him."
Star Trek: Discovery
"She stitched his wound up with a fishing line."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Gave him a very"
Star Trek: Discovery
"sexy scar"
Star Trek: Discovery
"and inspired him to go to medical school"
Star Trek: Discovery
"and become the man he is today."
Star Trek: Discovery
"It is weird not seeing it on you."
Star Trek: Discovery
"So, um..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"...i-if my senses feel a little off, it's..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"It's because your new nervous system is still adjusting."
Star Trek: Discovery
"I'd like to continue monitoring you, but I believe"
Star Trek: Discovery
"you're ready to resume your normal life soon."
Star Trek: Discovery
"That pylon."
Star Trek: Discovery
"It isn't Kelpien, is it?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"No."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The Ba'ul have erected one in each village to observe us."
Star Trek: Discovery
"It has earned them a fitting name among my people:"
Star Trek: Discovery
"the Watchful Eye."
Star Trek: Discovery
"This pylon is connected to an incredibly vast network."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Must have taken the Ba'ul generations"
Star Trek: Discovery
"to integrate their technology and ideology"
Star Trek: Discovery
"into Kelpien society."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Our two species have become so intertwined that,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"outside their technology,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"it is difficult to discern what is purely us"
Star Trek: Discovery
"and what is distinctly them."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Where is everyone?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"The day's work is done."
Star Trek: Discovery
"It will soon be nightfall."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Kelpiens rarely venture out in the dark."
Star Trek: Discovery
"I led this life once."
Star Trek: Discovery
"If I didn't know your people were oppressed,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"I'd think Kaminar was a paradise."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Well, in many ways, it is."
Star Trek: Discovery
"We live in harmony with each other,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"in a world without hunger or poverty."
Star Trek: Discovery
"The only violence we know is the culling,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"which Kelpiens have been misled to accept"
Star Trek: Discovery
"as a mercy by the Ba'ul."
Star Trek: Discovery
"And our priests sustain that belief."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Didn't you say your father was a priest?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Yes, he was a collaborator,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"albeit an unwitting one,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"enforcing the grip the Ba'ul had on my people."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Saru..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"For 18 years,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"I dreamt of returning to my village."
Star Trek: Discovery
"It has not changed at all."
Star Trek: Discovery
"But I see it..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"quite differently now."
Star Trek: Discovery
"These are the same flowers from your quarters."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Fredalia, yes."
Star Trek: Discovery
"They do not grow quite so well on a starship."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Brother?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Siranna!"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Saru!"
Star Trek: Discovery
"You're alive."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Oh, but how?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"We thought you were dead."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Taken by the Watchful Eye for questions"
Star Trek: Discovery
"you should not have asked."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Oh..."
Star Trek: Discovery
"Where have you been all this time?"
Star Trek: Discovery
"Siranna, 18 years ago,"
Star Trek: Discovery
"I thought I could find my future in the stars,"
Star Trek: Discovery
