"Late nights, high stress, close quarters..."
The O.C.
"- Oh, and Cohen, you got to nail Summer. - What?"
The O.C.
"- Excuse me? - I pitched them her character, Little Miss Vixen, with her designer handbags"
The O.C.
"But we got to lock down her likeness. You got to start drawing her right away."
The O.C.
"- Okay. - Like tonight."
The O.C.
"So I'll be posing for Cohen tonight?"
The O.C.
"- It's fine. - This is going to be great."
The O.C.
"- Great. - So great."
The O.C.
"We're not having a party, are we? One never knows."
The O.C.
"No, it's just dinner with my dad."
The O.C.
"Oh. Well, good. I should probably get back to the office anyway."
The O.C.
"- You working with Max? - Yeah."
The O.C.
"- What's there left to do? - Everything."
The O.C.
"What if I told you he wants me to clear Rebecca's name, prove she was innocent?"
The O.C.
"and if you can't bring his daughter back, at least you can clear her name."
The O.C.
"- Why aren't you dressed? Is Lindsay here? - Lindsay isn't coming."
The O.C.
"- Why? - 'Cause Caleb's coming."
The O.C.
"- I know. That was the idea. Go and get her - Gotten in the middle enough."
The O.C.
"Look, my father is on his way over here, and if Lindsay doesn't show up, we're going to be having dinner with him...alone."
The O.C.
"That's a good point. I just don't think there's anything I can say."
The O.C.
"Forks on the left, soup spoons on the right."
The O.C.
"- What's this? - Oh, it's something Seth drew."
The O.C.
"It's a demon water polo player, I guess. He left it here."
The O.C.
"So, what's the deal with you guys?"
The O.C.
"- Yeah, well, they're good for getting over someone, I guess. - Or getting you ready for someone."
The O.C.
"Can I crash at your place again? Anything to avoid hanging out with my stepdad."
The O.C.
"- Can I ask you a question? - Sure. - What are you doing with me?"
The O.C.
"Picking up a pint of Cherry Garcia and renting some DVDs?"
The O.C.
"Well, Seth's not really your size."
The O.C.
"And I'll wash this shirt, get it back to you"
The O.C.
"No, don't worry about it."
The O.C.
"I'm almost done practicing, Mom."
The O.C.
"Not your mom. Your sister."
The O.C.
"- I didn't know you played the oboe. - Not well. I just started practicing again."
The O.C.
"- It sounds great. What was that? - It was Brahms, an orchestral piece."
The O.C.
"- You know who likes Brahms? - Yeah. I'm not going to dinner"
The O.C.
"even if Caleb is a huge fan of the oboe."
The O.C.
"Look, no one has been more thoroughly crushed by our dad than me."
The O.C.
"He's not the easiest guy in the world to get along with,"
The O.C.
"- but once you figure him out, he's really a good guy. - Really?"
The O.C.
"I don't know. I've never been able to figure him out,"
The O.C.
"but maybe we can try... together."
The O.C.
"It's not much, but the couch is pretty comfy"
The O.C.
"and we've got air conditioning. Well, we don't have air conditioning, but we have windows."
The O.C.
"- Carpeting, very lush. - It's private."
The O.C.
"- And the price? You can't beat it. - It's great, Sandy."
The O.C.
"It's perfect. I mean, it'll be fine for the next 48 hours."
The O.C.
"It might take me a little longer than that to figure out how to take on your case."
The O.C.
"You are? You will?"
The O.C.
"Thank you."
The O.C.
"I mean, um... thanks."
The O.C.
"I know I said I didn't want your help, but I kind of did."
The O.C.
"I kind of knew that."
The O.C.
"- Have you told your wife yet - No."
The O.C.
"- Sandy? - She can't know anything yet, not until we get this sorted out."
The O.C.
"Okay, that's your decision. My dad's going to be thrilled."
The O.C.
"- We should celebrate. - Yeah, I'll go rent out Chuck E. Cheese."
The O.C.
"I know we can't go out, but we could order in Mexican, grab a bottle of tequila."
The O.C.
"- Yeah? Smoke a little weed? - ( laughs ): Cool."
The O.C.
"Yeah, while I'm harboring a fugitive, I'll go and score some pot off the street."
The O.C.
"Never leave home without it. Happen to have a bong handy?"
The O.C.
"My son Seth is... he's quite the detective."
The O.C.
"If my memory serves, Sandy Cohen could turn just about anything into a pipe."
The O.C.
"- Do we get to listen to the Allman Brothers, too? - Depends if you've got an apple."
The O.C.
"Let's just stick to the tequila."
The O.C.
"- Hello. - Hmm, come in."
The O.C.
"- Ready? - Yeah, just a second."
The O.C.
"Um... go ahead."
The O.C.
"What? It's my costume. I told you I had wardrobe approval."
The O.C.
"Look, if it was up to you, I'd be wearing shredded purple jeans and pasties."
The O.C.
"No, this is better. This is much better."
The O.C.
"Okay, come on. Let's be professional. Less drooling, more drawing."
The O.C.
"- And don't give me any junk in the trunk, either. - It's just the gifts God gave you."
The O.C.
"You think you can maybe turn, like, 40 degrees but keep your face tilted towards the light,"
The O.C.
"Okay. This way."
The O.C.
"- Are your greasy paws done manhandling me? - Yeah. You look good."
The O.C.
"You know, I wish I could draw, but every time I try to draw a person,"
The O.C.
"it's just one big head with legs coming out of its chin."
The O.C.
"Look how you're holding the pencil. You're choking it."
The O.C.
"- Loosen up a little bit. - Okay."
The O.C.
"Just take it nice and easy."
The O.C.
"Picasso said, "First you have to be able to draw a straight line.""
The O.C.
"I think I've got all the angles I need. I can do the rest from memory."
The O.C.
"Good, 'cause, my costume's starting to ride me."
The O.C.
"It's fondue, Dad. Cheese pot, not so difficult."
The O.C.
"Did you know that Lindsay plays the oboe?"
The O.C.
"Did you know that Dad has box seats at the Hollywood Bowl?"
The O.C.
"- Have you ever been? - No, I heard it's amazing."
The O.C.
"- Tickets are yours. - Great."
The O.C.
"A little Essa Peka, a little Yo-Yo Ma?"
The O.C.
"What, I'm just saying, a boy like Ryan would probably get bored with a show like that."
The O.C.
"No, it's fine. You know what? I'm just going to go. This was supposed to be about Lindsay and Caleb making up for lost time."
The O.C.
"I'd hate to see you waste all your time insulting me."
The O.C.
"Living in this house, eating our food, dating our children, butting in to our affairs."
The O.C.
"- You are so out of line. - What?"
The O.C.
"I've forgiven him for burning down my model home, for teaching my grandson how to steal cars,"
The O.C.
"and everyone seems to have forgotten that he impregnated a girl."
The O.C.
"Something you might know a thing or two about, except I didn't pay her off to stay quiet."
The O.C.
"- What did you say to me? - I'm just telling you the truth."
The O.C.
"- That's too bad, 'cause I'm just getting started. - Ryan."
The O.C.
"- Let me tell you something, if you've come here for a fight... - Dad. Ryan, don't."
The O.C.
"Dad?!"
The O.C.
"That's the last time I try cooking."
The O.C.
"I'm starving. There's got to be a vending machine to raid around here."
The O.C.
"- I'd love some coffee. - Yeah, let me get that."
The O.C.
"Hey, Lindsay, you want to come?"
The O.C.
"I'll stay here."
The O.C.
"I'm here. I'm sorry. Not that I haven't wished it on the man, but"
The O.C.
"- how's he doing? - I haven't heard yet. I was worried about you."
The O.C.
"- Kirsten Cohen? - Ah, yes."
The O.C.
"I'm Dr. Stephen Lasser. I was with your father all night."
The O.C.
"- Let me say, he's going to be okay. - Oh, thank God."
The O.C.
"He did, however, suffer a mild heart attack and we're going to have to run some tests"
The O.C.
"- and keep him here a day or two, but nothing to worry about. - Can we see him?"
The O.C.
"- Well, visits are restricted to family. - I'm his daughter."
The O.C.
"Then right this way."
The O.C.
"- Are you coming? - In a second."
The O.C.
"I was thinking... you around my dad, right now?"
The O.C.
"I understand. I've got plenty of work to do at the office."
The O.C.
"- But I'll stay if you want me to. - No, I have Lindsay, Ryan and Seth."
The O.C.
