Clips from The O.C. - The Second Chance (S02E02)
"Aren't you sick of me? We've hung out every single day this week."
The O.C.
"Oh, yeah, I know, it's great. I was actually on my way out just to talk."
The O.C.
"- Is this about Alex? - No. She's merely kitchen table fodder at this point."
The O.C.
"So, the three of us are moving forward with this comic book."
The O.C.
"- Right, so? - So, Summer and I are getting involved professionally, Ryan."
The O.C.
"- Now, you know how these things go. Late nights at the office... - You don't have an office."
The O.C.
"Then I will await the next great romance to wreak havoc on my heart and mind."
The O.C.
"But I mean, Luke Skywalker was happy to have a dad, even if he was Darth Vader."
The O.C.
"Yeah, well, I'm not like the other girls."
The O.C.
"So, who would have thought Sandy Cohen would be living in Newport Beach, surrounded by all these surfers?"
The O.C.
"- Caleb. - Why? One horrible dining experience wasn't enough?"
The O.C.
"Kirsten just feels bad about what happened at our dinner."
The O.C.
"Vader cut off Skywalker's hand."
The O.C.
"And that top, it's, it's so fetching."
The O.C.
"Dad, listen up."
The O.C.
"I still question his motives. I'm just protective of my family."
The O.C.
"This girl wants to know her father. She wants to get to know you."
The O.C.
"Are you writing me out?"
The O.C.
"That right there. It's our history. It's affecting the work."
The O.C.
"I'm just saying, high stress, late nights,"
The O.C.
"- You think? - Well..."
The O.C.
"Unbelievable comic book company."
The O.C.
"They love the world of Orange County. They think it could be really hot right now."
The O.C.
"- full of killer credit cards. They loved her. - They did? They love me."
The O.C.
"Hey."
The O.C.
"Don't worry. You're not invited."
The O.C.
"I would think that would be wonderful."
The O.C.
"- You would? - The man's daughter died,"
The O.C.
"I knew you'd understand."
The O.C.
"Maybe you're right."
The O.C.
"Yeah, I just got out of one of those."
The O.C.
"Works for me, but..."
The O.C.
"I mean, sleeping over, hanging out all the time, borrowing my clothes..."
The O.C.
"Things that never happened with Seth, and I was dating him."
The O.C.
"No, but he was, however briefly, my boyfriend."
The O.C.
"- Now, there's a club I want to join. - He's got a lot of issues."
The O.C.
"I don't like it, but... it's the best thing for her."
The O.C.
"- Still like pachung? - Yeah."
The O.C.
"Soda can... apple..."
The O.C.
"- and then hold your arms akimbo. - A what-bo?"
The O.C.
"Turn your face out this way a little bit."
The O.C.
"- Did you just draw that? Right now? - but you just stepped out of the light!"
The O.C.
"- No, I am not. This pencil can breathe on its own. - Yeah, well, the guy with no neck can't."
The O.C.
"Excellent. I'll come back for Princess Sparkle later."
The O.C.
"- Do you play any Brahms? - I try."
The O.C.
"Ryan? What do you think?"
The O.C.
"- What are you insinuating? - It's just you guys have a lot to catch up on."
The O.C.
"and for starting a brawl at my Man-of-the-Year party,"
The O.C.
"- Probably not the best thing for his blood pressure. - Probably not."
The O.C.
"You know, when you're doing something totally random and"
The O.C.
"you can still get flustered by a bobble-headed geek in size 27 jeans."
The O.C.
"- What is that? - I don't know."
The O.C.
"I think you need to use all your weapons and your designer handbag to defend yourself."
The O.C.
"- What if it's someone whose nose you never thought you'd graze? - Do you mean like Princess Sparkle?"
The O.C.
"Are you on morphine?"
The O.C.
"It's just a shame it took a coronary for me to realize how terrible I've been and I've been terrible."
The O.C.
"- Until I thought I lost you. - Does that mean you forgive me?"
The O.C.
"Okay. Yeah."
The O.C.
"With your permission, I'd like to explore some kind of amnesty, a plea bargain,"
The O.C.
"But first..."
The O.C.
"Baby, it's me. I was hoping you'd be there."
The O.C.
"I guess we'll catch up back at the ranch for dinner."
The O.C.
"Maybe you should be with your family, your wife, given everything."
The O.C.
"I don't think she really wants me there."
The O.C.
"Her father and I don't exactly get along so well."
The O.C.
"- You sure? - Yeah, yeah. The sooner we get started..."
The O.C.
"- Why didn't you go with him? - I just figured I'd stay here. Least I could do."
The O.C.
"- Nice house. - Thanks."
The O.C.
"So, you've been working hard. It's a good thing you got the new office."
The O.C.
"- I love you. - I love you."
The O.C.
"- Cohen. - Summer."
The O.C.
"- Sorry, go. - No, no, you go first."
The O.C.
"- Yes, exactly. - Good."
The O.C.
"- That's great. - Great."
The O.C.
"But I think Caleb has changed."
The O.C.
"He really wants a relationship with me."
The O.C.
"- If I'm around, yeah, I know. - Look, I know"
The O.C.
"- And he needs me now. - We'll take some time off. It's not like we haven't done it before."
The O.C.
"I know what it's like... not having a dad. I..."
The O.C.
"Bye."
The O.C.
"- Good night. - Good night. Thank you."
The O.C.
"Yeah?"
The O.C.
"Her dad is dying."
The O.C.
"Rebecca Bloom, love of your life?"
The O.C.
"Will you come with me?"
The O.C.
"- Lindsay asked me to be the buffer between her and Caleb. - Grandpa hates you."
The O.C.
"So, what is it the two of you really want?"
The O.C.
"- Money? - What?"
The O.C.
"Cohen's going to do his own comic."
The O.C.
"- I think they're really good. - Yeah?"
The O.C.
"Yeah, the boobs are a little big. Well, aren't they?"
The O.C.
"- You're still in love with her. - She's dead."
The O.C.
"Rebecca."
The O.C.
"- You're up early. - I'm studying for this test."
The O.C.
"- Studying. - Fine. We can talk here. I just think the issue feels a little more pool housey."
The O.C.
"- She's no longer up to pool house snuff. - So, it's Summer and Zach."
The O.C.
"Yes, which I realize is more of an evening subject, best served over a game of Playstation."
The O.C.
"- I'll allow it. - Great, thanks a lot."
The O.C.
"Sure, but with the added stress of work and deadlines, you know, things can get sexy."
The O.C.
"- You're writing a comic book. Not sexy. - So, you think I'm reaching."
The O.C.
"I think you're moving on with Alex, you moved on with Summer,"
The O.C.
"and for the first time in your life, you're not facing any women issues."
The O.C.
"- You're saying I'm just complaining that I have nothing to complain about. - This is what I'm saying."
The O.C.
"Okay, great."
The O.C.
"I can hardly wait."
The O.C.
"You're up early."
The O.C.
"- Are you sneaking in after curfew? - Busted."
The O.C.
"- Am I grounded? - Perhaps if I let you off..."
The O.C.
"you'll remember this act of kindness,"
The O.C.
"and afford me the same leniency should I miss my own curfew."
The O.C.
"You're home. I was worried about you."
The O.C.
"Oh, I'm okay. You know, just beat."
The O.C.
"How did Professor Bloom take the news about Rebecca?"
The O.C.
"His only daughter, and now she's gone, and he didn't even get to see her."
The O.C.
"- Hello? - Hey, Sandy. Rebecca."
The O.C.
"Listen, I'm at the pier. Do you want me to grab you some coffee?"
The O.C.
"No, no. 9:00 is fine. I'll see you then."
The O.C.
"Okay."
The O.C.
"It's going to be a little hectic for a while."
The O.C.
"Well, you should try and get some sleep. You look exhausted."
The O.C.
