"and she offered the job to Lizzie."

"[Vernon] Yeah, except I don't think it's gonna work out."

"Apparently, Lizzie and Denny had a falling-out."

"And Lizzie is-- She said she would consider the position,"

"but Hope doesn't think she's gonna take it."

"-[Mel] Have you talked to Denny about it? -No."

"Hope and I, we both agreed, we don't wanna pressure him."

"And Hope is--"
Virgin River
"-She's too proud to ask her friends. -Mm-hm."

"[Vernon] So I just wondered if you had some suggestions."

"[Mel] Well, hospitals usually have referrals,"

"but you know what, I'm happy to fill in until you find somebody permanent."

"Well, that is mighty generous of you. Let me talk to Hope about that."

"Yeah, sure."

"So, what'd you wanna speak to me about?"
Virgin River
"Uh, well, you were right."

"Cameron is set on leaving."

"We will be just fine without him."

"You know what?"

"I know that you're well aware..."

"but as a high-risk pregnancy, I could end up on bedrest."

"The baby could come early."

"We will cross that bridge when we come to it."

"I know, but by the time that happens, you'll end up doing all the work."

"Which, if I may remind you, I was happily doing before you arrived."

"I know that, but you have to admit"

"that it's been a lot easier with two doctors."

"I mean, you know, you're able to spend more time with Hope and Denny,"

"and they both really need you."

"What are you telling me?"

"Maybe if I leave, then Cameron will stay and you won't have to hire a replacement."

"What do you mean, if you leave?"

"Look, I only wanna do what's best for you."

"So I've decided to resign."

"That looks really good."

"[knocking on door]"

"Go head upstairs."

"-[Denny] Hey. Can we talk? -I'm kind of busy right now."

"She offered you a job and you said you needed to think about it."

"Lizzie, my reason for not wanting to get involved has nothing to do with you."

"so I invited her to join us."
