Clips from The O.C. - The Man of the Year (S03E03)
"...and the hospital he and I were going to build."
The O.C.
"I'm truly flattered to be held in such high esteem by this community."
The O.C.
"Thank you."
The O.C.
"Thanks."
The O.C.
"You just calling to say hi?"
The O.C.
"Totally. So how's your life?"
The O.C.
"How's Ryan, what did you do last night, give me the deets."
The O.C.
"Well, Ryan and I broke up and my prom date got with another girl."
The O.C.
"Oh, really? That's great."
The O.C.
"Your friend Megan needs another abortion?"
The O.C.
"I wish. But actually, my school sent Mom a letter..."
The O.C.
"...and I need you to get it for me."
The O.C.
"Look, I'm totally all over this situation."
The O.C.
"- Oh, Kaitlin. - Look, Marissa, I'm begging you."
The O.C.
"If you have one sisterly bone in your body, you'll do this for me."
The O.C.
"Please."
The O.C.
"...too."
The O.C.
"- Hi. - Hi. What are you doing?"
The O.C.
"Just got off the phone with the guy."
The O.C.
"Oh, not well. It's kind of hard for a 28-year-old to understand prom."
The O.C.
"But you... You don't regret going, do you?"
The O.C.
"...but I'm pretty sure it was used."
The O.C.
"It's taken care of."
The O.C.
"Okay. Do you wanna hang out today?"
The O.C.
"I have to do something. I'm not sure for how long."
The O.C.
"Well, how about later? For dinner?"
The O.C.
"- I could bring over takeout. - That sounds good."
The O.C.
"...and things are great. Life is so much better when you're honest."
The O.C.
"Now that you're on a roll, you gonna tell Sandy and Kirsten too?"
The O.C.
"It'll go down easier with an acceptance letter to RISD in my hand."
The O.C.
"Can't this family have one weekend without crisis?"
The O.C.
"Hey, Sum."
The O.C.
"...and rinse them in a tall glass of ice water."
The O.C.
"You were pretty wasted last night."
The O.C.
"I was, wasn't I?"
The O.C.
"I don't even remember getting home."
The O.C.
"...and then I realized it was your phone."
The O.C.
"- Something... - Oh, my God. Oh, my God. The letter."
The O.C.
"No, no. Cohen's confession. I left it in an envelope on Sandy's desk."
The O.C.
"I can't. Things are finally normal between us."
The O.C.
"Well, it's a little unexpected."
The O.C.
"Well, I'm glad to hear it."
The O.C.
"I look forward to tomorrow night."
The O.C.
"Sorry. It's just, given everything that's happened..."
The O.C.
"It could be a model for responsible development for the entire country."
The O.C.
"Responsible development?"
The O.C.
"Sandy, the only thing it's responsible for..."
The O.C.
"The irony's not lost on me. Believe me."
The O.C.
"But this could mean that maybe the dark days are over."
The O.C.
"I'd like to think so."
The O.C.
"- But I honestly doubt it. - I wasn't expecting a blessing."
The O.C.
"But until we have proof to the contrary, let's try to be optimistic."
The O.C.
"- Hey. - Why don't you say good morning..."
The O.C.
"...to Newport's Man of the Year."
The O.C.
"It was only a matter of time before this town recognized my contribution."
The O.C.
"Have to be a man first. Congratulations."
The O.C.
"Thank you. Party tomorrow night. Everybody's gotta dress up..."
The O.C.
"...and represent."
The O.C.
"College letters, senior prom. This family's on a streak."
The O.C.
"Let's try to enjoy it."
The O.C.
"Sometimes I scare myself, Summer. Seth's in the kitchen."
The O.C.
"- I'll just go right in. - All right."
The O.C.
"- What are you doing? - Nothing."
The O.C.
"Not without stamps. Let's go make out upstairs."
The O.C.
"Hey. Is everything okay? You sounded weird on the phone."
The O.C.
"Can you give that to Taylor?"
The O.C.
"It was stolen at the prom."
The O.C.
"Kevin?"
The O.C.
"And I don't really wanna talk about it..."
The O.C.
"...but if you could just give it to Taylor..."
The O.C.
"You can count on me."
The O.C.
"I was gonna take a road trip this weekend."
The O.C.
"He had his briefcase with him. Does he keep important papers in there?"
The O.C.
"- You're using me to get to my father? - It's serious."
The O.C.
"So is this. We just got back together."
The O.C.
"The window for a make-up is closing..."
The O.C.
"I wanna be on top this time."
The O.C.
"Of course we'll be there."
The O.C.
"Okay. Bye, Kiks."
The O.C.
"- Hey. Good news? - Yes."
The O.C.
"There's a party tomorrow night at the yacht club."
The O.C.
"Well, that ought to be interesting."
The O.C.
"- What do you mean? - Well, Sandy's being investigated."
The O.C.
"They're filing charges against Henry Griffin, and Sandy's working with him."
The O.C.
"I mean, he can be self-righteous, pompous and annoying..."
The O.C.
"Well, we'll find out. I'm sitting down with the district attorney tomorrow."
The O.C.
"- So we have to warn Sandy. - I already did."
The O.C.
"How you doing?"
The O.C.
"Seven stitches, couple of broken ribs... I'll live."
The O.C.
"It's not like I didn't ask for it."
The O.C.
"So the money's returned, you got your stitches, and we're good, right?"
The O.C.
"Not quite. I need some help."
The O.C.
"I'm supposed to pick something up."
The O.C.
"- It's none of your business. - I don't want it to be."
The O.C.
"Money. What money?"
The O.C.
"- I don't see any money. - Nobody's gonna believe you."
The O.C.
"Look, Daddy, you can't do this to yourself every time you get the ratings."
The O.C.
"It's my dad. You know The Valley? It's his show."
The O.C.
"What do you expect when you've got the same love triangle for three years?"
The O.C.
"- Who are you? - Oh, Marissa. Kaitlin's sister."
The O.C.
"Hey, bitch, your sister's here."
The O.C.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Hadley."
The O.C.
"- Marissa, what are you doing here? - Waiting for you to explain this."
The O.C.
"Thanks for coming by, Kiks."
The O.C.
"I didn't wanna talk to you about this on the phone."
The O.C.
"Graduating on Monday, and Berkeley in the fall."
The O.C.
"So last night, after you left me with Taylor..."
The O.C.
"That kid stole the money..."
The O.C.
"Go ahead. Answer it."
The O.C.
"Hey. No. No, no, I cannot right now, okay?"
The O.C.
"Look, give me a couple hours at least."
The O.C.
"...or Seth because they wouldn't understand. But you?"
The O.C.
"- My life has totally changed. - So has mine."
The O.C.
"Oh, like the guy at work?"
The O.C.
"- I'm not like him. - Maybe on your good days you're not."
The O.C.
"But right now, my life isn't built for the bad ones."
The O.C.
"You walked into the kitchen and asked me to be optimistic."
The O.C.
"They can't have much of a case, not against Griffin and not against me."
The O.C.
"Well, it's not. Neil Roberts is meeting with the district attorney tomorrow."
The O.C.
"Honey, I promise you I'll do everything in my power..."
The O.C.
